ITS By the Numbers

Friday 05/22/2020

FSU technology has seen a significant spike in usage over the past few months as the FSU community turned to technology as their main source for completing classwork or working remotely. Here at ITS we are analytics enthusiasts, and the numbers tell us what services FSU uses and what is needed technology-wise.

Looking at the numbers from March-May of 2020, usage numbers more than doubled for many of the key services such as Zoom, myFSUVLab, Office 365 and LinkedIn Learning.

  • Zoom | Before work and classes became remote, Zoom averaged 1,175 meetings a month. During the month of April, FSU held 46,249 Zoom meetings.

  • myFSUVLab | myFSUVLab had 2,283 users log in during the month of January compared to 3,165 in April.

  • LinkedIn Learning | LinkedIn Learning saw a spike in hours viewed from 1,131 in January to 4,070 in April.

  • Teams | So far in 2020, FSU created 676 new Teams pages to foster collaboration.

  • ITS Website | The ITS website has a wide array of webpages. In January the page with the most views was the Wi-Fi landing page with 34,847 views. In April, the Zoom Audio FAQ took the top spot with 46,934 views.
